We are here for you,
when you need it

Razem was founded out of real need. We are here for Polish-speaking people and families affected by cancer.

Razem – Cancer Fighters in Aberdeen exists to support Polish-speaking people and their families affected by cancer. We work to reduce the isolation, loneliness and exclusion that can accompany illness, especially when living away from Poland.

We create a safe and empathetic community where people can find understanding, emotional support, care for their wellbeing and the reassurance that no one has to face illness alone. Our work is rooted in the experiences of community members, mutual support, empathy and shared experience.

We do not replace the NHS, doctors, psychologists or professional support organisations. We offer support and information, and help people find appropriate services and organisations. We also support those who find it difficult to access available help because of language barriers, stress, uncertainty or a lack of information about their options.

🀝

Emotional support

Group meetings and conversations with people who truly understand. No judgement, no rush.

πŸ“š

Workshops & education

We organise meetings and workshops that help people better understand illness, cope emotionally, care for their body and health, navigate formal processes and available support, and build relationships with others in a similar situation.

🌱

Community

We connect people in similar situations. Sometimes it just helps to know someone nearby understands.

🏠

Safe space

A place where you can speak openly. Everything shared here stays within the group.

We do not operate commercially. Our role is to create a supportive community, share experiences and help people find appropriate sources of support.
